My Favorite Podcasts

When I listen to podcasts some days I want something thoughtful and reflective, while other days I want to laugh, feel less alone, or get completely absorbed in a story while I’m driving, walking, or folding laundry. Podcasts have become one of my favorite ways to decompress, stay curious, and feel connected, especially during seasons of life that feel busy or overwhelming. These are the ones I come back to again and again:

Armchair Expert

Armchair Expert is one of those podcasts that feels like a conversation you don’t want to end. I love the mix of humor, vulnerability, and depth. The interviews feel human, and I appreciate how honest the conversations are about mental health, relationships, and being imperfect. It’s the kind of podcast that makes you reflect without feeling heavy, and laugh without feeling shallow.

Armchair Anonymous

Armchair Anonymous is pure entertainment. I love the anonymous call-in format and the way real people share wild, awkward, funny, and sometimes unbelievable stories. It’s lighthearted, unpredictable, and honestly just fun. This is one of my go-tos when I need a mental break or want to laugh out loud.

The Bad Broadcast

The Bad Broadcast feels like chatting with a friend who’s honest, funny, and not afraid to say what everyone else is thinking. I love the mix of pop culture, storytelling, and personal reflection. It’s relatable without trying too hard and entertaining without being chaotic. This podcast is perfect for when you want something easy to listen to but still engaging.

House of Maher

House of Maher is thoughtful, grounded, and reflective. The conversations feel intentional and meaningful, touching on life, relationships, growth, and perspective. It’s one of those podcasts that encourages you to slow down and think a little deeper. I often finish an episode feeling calmer and more centered.

Crime Junkie

When I’m in the mood for true crime, Crime Junkie is always at the top of my list. The storytelling is clear, engaging, and easy to follow. I appreciate the focus on victims and the way cases are presented thoughtfully rather than sensationally. It’s gripping without feeling overwhelming.

True Crime Garage

True Crime Garage is another favorite for when I want to really dive into a case. The discussions feel detailed and conversational, and I like how the hosts take their time breaking things down. It’s immersive and thoughtful, especially for listeners who like hearing different angles and theories.

Podcasts have become a small but meaningful form of self-care in my life. They keep me company, make me laugh, and help me feel connected to stories and conversations beyond my own. If you’re always looking for something new to listen to, I hope this list gives you a few ideas to add to your queue. And if you have favorites you think I’d love, I’m always open to recommendations!
