My Pilates Journey

It all started with an infomercial.

I was a college freshman studying dance- something that had been part of my life since I was eight years old. Movement was already my language, but I remember flipping through channels one afternoon and stumbling upon an infomercial for Windsor Pilates. The flowing movements, the promise of strength and grace. It all caught my attention. Before I knew it, I had ordered the VHS set (yes, VHS lol), eager to try it for myself.

The moment I pressed play, I was hooked. Pilates felt familiar yet new. The precision, the control, and the connection between breath and movement made it the perfect complement to my dance training. I began using Pilates as a form of conditioning for my dance classes, and I quickly noticed a difference. My posture improved, my core felt stronger, and I moved with more awareness and balance.

Fast forward a few years, and life shifted from college and choreography to motherhood. With each pregnancy and postpartum recovery, Pilates became my anchor. It helped me rebuild strength, reconnect to my body, and feel confident again after the changes that come with having children.

Two years after baby number four, I decided to turn my passion for movement into a career. I began working as a group fitness instructor, sharing my love of exercise with others, but my heart kept pulling me back to Pilates. A few years later, I took the leap and became a certified Pilates trainer. It’s a decision that truly changed the course of my life.

When COVID hit, the club I was working at closed its doors. Rather than letting that be an ending, I saw it as an opportunity to create something new. Out of my home studio, Pilates by Natalie was born. What began as a small, intimate space to teach clients soon grew into a solid community built around strength, balance, and empowerment.

In 2021, life brought me to Las Vegas and so Pilates by Natalie Las Vegas came to be. Today, I teach both in-person and virtual sessions, helping people from all over reconnect with their bodies and discover how capable they truly are.

Looking back, that VHS tape changed everything. What started as curiosity became a lifelong passion, a career, and a calling. Pilates has shaped not only my body but my mindset, my confidence, and my purpose. It taught me that movement is healing, and that strength comes from showing up for yourself, one breath at a time.
