New Year Intentions

Instead of resolutions, I’m setting intentions this year. Some of these may not be “new,” but rather reminders for what I always hope to accomplish in my teaching and life.

My Intentions for the Studio

At the “core” (pun intended) of Pilates by Natalie has always been one simple belief: movement should support your life, not overwhelm it. This year, I want the studio to feel even more grounded, welcoming, and sustainable for both my clients and me.

I want every class, whether in person or virtual, to feel like a place you can exhale. A space where you don’t have to be perfect, push harder, or prove anything. Just show up as you are and move with intention.

That means thoughtful programming, familiar structure with room to grow, and an emphasis on quality over quantity.

My intention is to teach with purpose. To design sessions that truly serve the bodies in front of me and support real life outside the studio. Strength, mobility, balance, and longevity will always matter more than trends.

This year, I want to continue creating a space where clients feel seen, supported, and encouraged.

Whether that’s through client spotlights, shared conversations, or simply learning names and stories, my intention is to keep the studio human, warm, and real.

My Personal Intentions

Just as Pilates has evolved alongside my life, so have I. This year, my personal intentions are about slowing down, protecting my energy, and choosing what truly matters.

I’m done chasing the idea that everything has to be just right to be worthy or successful. This year, I’m choosing peace, especially in moments where perfectionism tries to sneak in.

Peace looks like softer expectations, deeper breaths, and trusting that consistency matters more than intensity.

Even as a Pilates instructor, it’s easy to forget that movement doesn’t always need to be productive. This year, I’m committing to moving my body in ways that feel supportive, nourishing, and joyful.

Some days that will look like Pilates. Other days it might be walking, stretching, or simply resting.

This year, I’m learning to say no without guilt and yes without overexplanation. My time, energy, and presence are valuable and protecting them allows me to show up more fully for my kids, my clients, and myself.

Carrying This Year Forward

I don’t expect this year to be perfect, but I do hope it feels calmer, more intentional, more aligned. To keep choosing what feels grounded, supportive, and sustainable. To honor where I am now, not where I think I should be.

If you’re moving into this year with your own word, intention, or quiet hope, I hope you know you don’t have to rush it. You’re allowed to move slowly. You’re allowed to choose peace. And if Pilates is part of that journey for you, I’m honored to be here, moving alongside you, one breath at a time.
