Things Pilates Taught My Clients in 2025

(Whether they asked for the lesson or not..lol)

1. Shaking ≠ Weakness

It means something is finally working. (Your nervous system is just surprised.)

2. Slow Is Actually Harder

Anyone can fling themselves through a rep. Control is where the truth comes out.

3. Prep Work Is Not Optional

You don’t skip prep work, or you pay for it later.

4. Teasers Are a Personality Test

They reveal:

  • Core strength

  • Patience

  • Emotional resilience

5. Springs Are Judgy

Too light? You wobble.

Too heavy? You panic.

Just right? You still shake.

6. If You Can Breathe Through It, You Can Do It

Breath won’t make it easy, but it will keep you from rage-quitting mid-rep.

7. “Advanced” Isn’t About Fancy Moves

It’s about:

  • Control

  • Precision

  • Knowing when to slow down

  • And not collapsing when things get hard

It’s not upside down for Instagram (though that is fun!).

8. Core Work Finds You No Matter What

You can avoid crunches, but you cannot avoid Pilates core work. It will find you. (I guarantee it!)

9. Discipline Beats Motivation Every Time

Motivation is unreliable. Discipline shows up even when your glutes don’t want to.

10. Strength Feels Better Than Skinny

Every time. No contest.

11. Pilates Is Sneaky

You think, “This isn’t so bad.”

Then suddenly:

  • Legs are shaking

  • Abs are on fire

  • Pride is being tested

12. Your Body Is More Capable Than You Think

Most limits aren’t physical; they’re mental. Pilates just exposes that gently.

Final Lesson of 2025

Strength isn’t about punishment. It’s about showing up, paying attention, and trusting the process. It also teaches humility… repeatedly.

Thank you for making 2025 a great year! I can’t wait to see what fun, new adventures, and life lessons 2026 holds in store.
