What is a Pilates Reformer?
The reformer is a traditional piece of Pilates equipment designed by Joseph Pilates with a bed like frame with springs attached. The springs provide varying degrees of resistance allowing you to customize your workout to your specific needs. The reformer works your flexibility and strength, balance and stability, and accesses a wide array of muscle groups all while offering resistance and variety.
What is a Pilates Cadillac?
The Cadillac is comprised of a canopy style frame, a flat stationary table, and spring-loaded attachments. It also has additional loops and attached bars that assist with gravity-based exercises. It allows the body to be suspended in a variety of positions. Suspension helps to increase the number of exercises that cannot be completed using the Reformer or the mat.
What is a Pilates Tower?
The tower is a mini version of the Cadillac and allows you to perform over 75% of the Cadillac repertoire on the reformer, without taking up more space. The tower also allows even more fun combinations and exercises than you would get on a traditional reformer.
What is a Pilates Chair?
The Pilates chair was designed to be a compact and portable piece of Pilates equipment that could fit into a small space and also offer the functionality of a chair when not in use. Like the reformer, it uses springs to provide varying degrees of resistance to tailor your workout to your needs.
What is a Pilates Ladder Barrel?
The Pilates Ladder Barrel is a training apparatus excellent for building core strength and improving mobility. The barrel forces the spine to move through a greater range of motion than on the mat and this makes these exercises some of the most challenging in the Pilates repertoire
